Rodgers named NFL MVP – again

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was selected Wednesday as the Professional Football Writer’s of America’s Most Valuable Player for 2014.

The PFWA made the announcement around 1 p.m. on Twitter.

The organization tweeted that Rodgers had 38 touchdown passes and 4,381 passing yards over the 2014 season, which is why he was named its MVP.

According to, Rodgers had the fewest interceptions in the league while ranking second in passer rating and third in TD passes.

The PFWA is just one MVP award announced each year. The Associated Press NFL MVP award will be announced during the annual NFL Honors show in January, according to

Rodgers was also named MVP by the PFWA in 2011.
