Sheriff: Vehicle reported to be ‘all over the road'
TOWN OF NEWARK, Wis. — The Rock County Sheriff’s Department said a Town of Newark man faces his sixth charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated after he was picked up at his home late Sunday night.
Deputies went to the home of Ronald Goetzman, 61, of the town of Newark after getting reports of a minivan going westbound on Wisconsin Highway 81 with no headlights around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
Sheriff’s officials said when deputies arrived at the home, Goetzman admitted he had been drinking and confirmed he’d been driving his minivan just before police arrived.
Goetzman failed field sobriety tests and was taken to the Rock county jail, according to the sheriff’s department.
