JANESVILLE/MADISON-Robert “Bob” Swanton passed away on Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Janesville after a brief illness. He was born in Madison, April 15, 1961, the seventh child of John and Evelyn (Jacobsen) Swanton. Bob was a gentle soul who struggled with a severe anxiety disorder most of his life. He learned to live in the moment and liked to say that he stayed young at heart.

He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; best friend and “Big Brother”, Kent Whitaker; and his beloved cat, Lucky. He was preceded in death by his parents; a niece; and a nephew.
Graveside funeral services for family and close friends will be held at FOREST HILL CEMETERY at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012. Memorials may be made to Luke House in Madison or to Dane County Humane Society. We will forever hold you in our hearts.
A Wish and a Prayer,
May your spirit soar in freedom.
From the fears that gripped so tight.
May you find the peace you searched for
That eluded you in life.
May your mind be clear and calm
And your tender heart be warm.
May you have no need for strength now.
May there ne’er be another storm.
May the music of the angels
Be the sweet sounds that you hear.
As you’re rocked in Heaven’s cradle
May you ne’er shed another tear.
