Robert Dennis “Bob” Larsen
Robert Dennis “Bob” Larsen, of Linden, passed away on Friday, November 24 at Upland Hills Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by his family. Bob was born on June 27, 1940 to Robert W. Larsen and Golda A. (Longseth) Larsen in rural Spring Green, WI. Bob graduated from Spring Green High School in 1957 and Madison Business College in 1958. He worked for Wisconsin Pole Structures in Lone Rock before entering the US Army in 1962. He served 3 years in the military and was stationed in Heidelberg, Germany at USAREUR Headquarters. Bob started Larsen’s Tax Service in 1970 and served as a public accountant and tax professional for 45 years in Dodgeville. He married Joy M. (Stacey) Peat on September 8, 1984. Bob was a long-time member of the Linden American Legion. He also generously shared his love of music with the residents of Bloomfield Manor every Saturday for multiple years. They loved his guitar playing as much as he enjoyed sharing it. Bob’s greatest joys were spending time with his beloved wife Joy, his special grandchildren and his many dogs, Princess, Sophie and Abby.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Gloria Andrews and Joyce McReynolds; and two brothers, Evan and Jim Larsen.
Bob is survived by his wife Joy, of Linden; his daughter, Darlene (Cory) Palzkill of Mineral Point; step-children, Michael (Gina) Peat of Cobb; Stacie (Kent) Dailey of Montfort and his six grandchildren, Cooper Palzkill, Derek, Malery and Brady Peat and Bryce and Dru Dailey. Bob is also survived by two sisters, Barb Larson of Dodgeville and Grace Larsen of Ridgeway; a brother-in-law, Joe (Trudy) Scott; sister-in-law Phyllis Reddell, all from Linden; as well as many special nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the Lulloff-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home in Dodgeville with Pastor Gerhardt Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Linden Cemetery with Full Military Honors accorded by the Linden American Legion Post #493. Friends may call at the funeral home in Dodgeville on Monday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Tuesday after 10:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Linden American Legion would be greatly appreciated.
