Robert “Bob” F. Kerl Jr.
Robert “Bob” F. Kerl Jr., age 90, passed away peacefully on Wed. Mar. 15, 2017 at Heartland Country Village in Black Earth.
He was born Mar. 4, 1927 to the late Robert and Anne (Handel) Kerl Sr. Bob married Delores Parrell on July 7, 1945 and they have celebrated 71 years of marriage. He worked for the village of Mazomanie for 38 years, retiring in 1989. Bob played cards every day, enjoyed the outdoors, and was a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church in Mazomanie and the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Delores; 4 children, Dennis (Alice) Kerl, Jerry (Carolyn) Kerl, Joan Drager, and Lynette Kerl; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Bernice (Vince) Murphy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Anna Bryant and Kathleen Lucey and a brother, Norbert Kerl.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Mon. Mar. 20, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, Mazomanie. Interment will follow in the St. Barnabas Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 3:00pm until 5:00pm on Sun. Mar. 19, 2017 at Hooverson Funeral Home, Hwy 14 West, Mazomanie.
Bob’s family would like to thank the staff at Heartland County Village and Agrace Hospice for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Bob’s name to the Knights of Columbus or the Mazomanie Lions Club.
