First National Bank in Rock County robbed Thursday morning
ROCK TOWNSHIP, Wis. — Rock County deputies are searching for a man who robbed a bank Thursday morning.
The First National Bank on 2636 South Highway 51 in Rock Township was robbed Thursday morning at 9:14 a.m., police said. The robber left southbound driving a tan compact car, said police. The vehicle has not been located.
Investigators said a white man in his mid-20s handed a note to the teller demanding money. No weapon was displayed, they said, and the thief left with an unknown amount of money.
The robber is described as being between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, weighing 250-274 pounds. He was wearing a brown long-sleeve sweater, blue jeans, black sunglasses, and a tan woven hat with an unknown emblem on the front.
The man also resembles the person involved in a Kenosha County bank robbery from July 30, police said.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office asks that anyone with information about the robbery contact (608) 757-2244 or local law enforcement.
