Richard L. O’Kroley
MADISON-Richard L. O’Kroley, age 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 22, 2014.
He was born on May 7, 1930, in Madison, the son of Charles and Dorothy (Graves) O’Kroley. On Nov. 21, 1953, he married Jane M. Weisensel in Sun Prairie. Dick was a craftsman of unlimited ability not only in his work as an ironworker, but in having built his own house and boat. He enjoyed playing guitar, cards and was an adventurer who loved to drive always taking his time and the scenic route.
Dick is survived by his wife Jane; his children, Christopher, Linda, Doreen (Ken) Dybevik, Sandra (Robert) McKerroll, Colin, Douglas, Dennis (Malay) and Dawn; grandsons, Mark, Scott, Jon and JonnyMac; best friend and brother, David and his wife Marie (Jane’s sister); and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Deloris.
He was the great-grandson of Civil War Veteran Wencel Nowak, Wisconsin 12th Infantry Company D. Private family services will be held at Highland Memory Gardens. Special thanks to Wildwood Clinic and Agrace HospiceCare.
