Richard “Dick” Skubal
VERONA-Richard “Dick” Skubal, age 74, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012. He was born on March 28, 1938, in Rhinelander, the son of Frank and Stella (Danber) Skubal. He married Suzanne Kopp on June 20, 1959, in Milwaukee. Dick worked in the printing industry for more than 45 years until his retirement in 2003. He was an avid football, baseball and NASCAR fan. Dick loved traveling and was passionate about waterfalls.
He is survived by his wife; children, Carol Ann (Bryon) Wheaton, Sheryl (Douglas) Trumbower, and Richard (Suzanne) Skubal; seven grandchildren, Matthew Wheaton, Amanda, Amelia, Amelie, and Andrew Trumbower, and Taylor and Sydney Skubal; sister, Dolores (Michael) Wreblis; and brothers-in-law, Bill (Carol) Kopp and Tom Kopp. He was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Augie and Evelyn Kopp; and brother-in-law, Ron Kopp.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 602 Everglade Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, with Father Don Heiar presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass on Friday.
