Richard D. Knuteson
LODI/LAKE WISCONSIN-Richard D. “Dick” Knuteson, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Lodi Good Samaritan Society.
He was born on January 30, 1932, in Arlington, Wisconsin the son of Nels and Janetta (Johnson) Knuteson. Upon graduating from Lodi High School class of 1949 he enlisted in the US Navy serving during the Korean Conflict. He ended his military service in 1988 when he retired from the Wisconsin Air National Guard. Dick married Marjorie Tanke in 1956.
Richard worked as a sales representative for over 30 years for a variety of organizations before retiring. He enjoyed the outdoors. He liked deer and waterfowl hunting, fishing, boating, and snowmobiling. One of Dick’s greatest joys was earning his pilot’s license and flying in the southern Wisconsin area.
Dick is survived by his children, Kyle (Monice) Knuteson and Kristin (Roger) Hamilton; grandchild, Isaac “Zach” Knuteson; siblings, Marion Wicks, Merle Knuteson, Margret Anne (Marvin) Jameson, Don (Lorraine) Knuteson and Marlene (Don) Fitzgerald; sister-in-law, Delila Knuteson. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Llewelyn (LaVilla) Knuteson and Kenneth Knuteson.
Memorial Service will be held at DEKORRA LUTHERAN CHURCH, N3099 Smith Road, Poynette at 11:30 AM on Friday, March 7, 2014 with Reverend Ryan Rouse presiding. Visitation will be held at DEKORRA LUTHERAN CHURCH, N3099 Smith Road, Poynette from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 6, 2014.
