Khris Middleton out indefinitely with a sprained MCL

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — The Bucks will be without Khris Middleton for at least Game 3 of their first-round series against the Bulls.

Milwaukee released their injury report for Friday’s game and the three-time All-Star was listed as out. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski first reported Middleton will miss the rest of the first round and will be re-evaluated in 2 weeks.

Thursday evening, the Bucks said Middleton underwent an MRI and an exam by a team physician, confirming a diagnosis of a sprained left MCL. The Bucks guard suffered the sprain during the fourth quarter of Wednesday’s Game 2 loss.

“Middleton will receive daily treatment and evaluation with the next status update coming in approximately two weeks,” the team said in an update.

Game 3 against the Bulls is set for 7:30 p.m. Friday.
