Real estate growing in Wisconsin
Realtors: Properties sales are increasing
MIDDLETON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Realtors Association showed sales of existing homes climbed about 17 percent in July compared with 2011.
Median home prices have also posted their fifth straight monthly increase.
Tuesday in Middleton, T. Wall Properties broke ground on a new Bishop’s Bay development that will include 37 home sites. This combines seven neighborhoods spread out over 780 acres.
“The housing market is starting to come back. What we’ve gone through over the last four years, it’s been a difficult time for home builders,” said Andy Inman, vice president of development for T. Wall Properties. “Having said that, there’s a pent-up demand, people have been waiting for the recovery to start which we’re seeing now.”
The new project will include a town center, which brings together the seven neighborhoods. Inman said it will serve multiple price points and not just traditional, high end Bishop’s Bay buyers.
