Raymond E. “Ray” Rohrbeck
FALL RIVER—Raymond E. “Ray” Rohrbeck age 66, died peacefully with family by his side on Friday, August 24, 2012 at University Hospital, Madison. He was born on July 31, 1946 in Columbus to Alva and Hazel (Farnsworth) Rohrbeck. Ray was a 1964 graduate of the Fall River High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War Era where he was stationed in Germany from 1966 until 1968. Ray was married to Linda Crossman for 44 years-to-the-day, on August 24, 1968 in Fall River. He was employed by Miller Bradford & Risberg Inc, out of their Madison office, as a territory sales manager for over 30 years. Ray was also known to many as Ram Jet, Slick, Slippery, Uncle Funny and Bubba, to name only a few. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, the Packers, the Badgers and motorcycling.
Survivors include his wife, Linda of Fall River; a son, Craig of Columbus; two daughters, Carie Rohrbeck of Columbus and Crystal (Peter) Salzman of Fall River; six grandchildren, Kayla Schoenbechler, Zachary and Sydney Rohrbeck, Alex, Griffin and Lincoln Salzman; one sister, Eldene (Claire White) Larson of Rochester, MN; one brother, Gene (Bonnie) of Casper, WY; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the funeral home with military honors at 4:00 P.M. by the John C. Brossard VFW Post #62 of Fall River. There will be no service. Please no flowers.
