Rashan Gary placed on injured reserve with season-ending ACL injury

Green Bay Packers Lambeau Field

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Packers linebacker Rashan Gary’s season is officially over.

The Packers placed Gary on injured reserve Wednesday. He left Sunday’s game against Detroit with an injury, and head coach Matt LeFleur later confirmed he tore his right ACL.

The loss of Gary is a huge one for the Packers. The former Michigan Wolverine leads the team in sacks with 6 and has 21 solo tackles on the season. He’s also one of only 3 Packers to recover a fumble this season.

The Packers are back in action on Sunday when they host the Cowboys at Lambeau Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:25 p.m. CT.
