Raising Cane’s to open restaurant in downtown Madison

MADISON, Wis. — Chicken finger fans rejoice: Raising Cane’s is coming to Madison.
According to a job posting on the company’s website, the restaurant will set up shop near State and Frances streets. The downtown Madison location will be the company’s first crack at bringing its Cane’s sauce and crinkle cut fries to Wisconsin.
The Louisiana-based fast food chain has been around since 1996, with a number of locations in Minnesota and Illinois.
The restaurant gets its name from founder and CEO Todd Graves’ pet dog, who went on to be the company’s mascot.
