Puppy ejected from vehicle, 2 hospitalized in rollover crash

PORTAGE, Wis. — A puppy was ejected out of a car Saturday afternoon during a rollover crash on I-90 westbound near Portage.

According to a news release, at 4:55 P.M. a Dodge Avenger was traveling at a high speed when it hit a Chevrolet Sliverado pickup that was making a lane change. The Dodge Avenger lost control and then struck a Toyota FJ Cruiser forcing it off the roadway. The FJ Cruiser rolled three times, eventually coming to a stop against a tree. During the rollover crash, a puppy was ejected from the FJ Cruiser.

The two passengers in the FJ Cruiser were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The puppy was found uninjured and was reunited with his owners.

The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and the Portage Fire Department responded to the scene.
