A puppy is reunited with its owners at a local hospital

PORTAGE, Wis. — The puppy that was ejected from a vehicle during a rollover crash on Sunday has been reunited with its owners.

According to Wisconsin State Patrol, a Dodge Avenger was driving recklessly on I-90/94 when it hit a Chevrolet Silverado, causing the Dodge Avenger to lose control. The Avenger then hit a Toyota FJ Cruiser, forcing the FJ Cruiser off the roadway. The Cruiser then rolled three times and came to a rest against a tree.

The two occupants of the FJ Cruiser were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

During the roll, a small black puppy was ejected from the vehicle. Deputies from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and the crews from the Portage Fire Department searched the area and eventually found the puppy safe and uninjured.

The puppy was then reunited with its owners at Divine Savior Hospital.
