Public helps ID suspect in bank robbery, police say
MADISON, Wis. — Madison police said tips from the public helped identify a man who they said robbed a bank in March on the city’s east side.
Officers were called at 2:56 p.m. on March 23 to an Associated Bank at 4407 Cottage Grove Road on a report of a bank robbery.
Police said the robber passed a note and fled with cash.
According to a release, at least one community member was able to identify the man as 46-year-old Reginald J. Morris, of Madison. He was arrested last week on a tentative robbery charge.
