Public health officials look for dog without owner that bit man

Public health officials are looking for a dog that bit a woman who tried to break up a fight between two dogs Wednesday night, according to a release.

A woman stopped at the intersection of South Park and Baird streets to try to break up a fight between dogs around 6:15 p.m., officials said. One of the dogs involved in the fight bit her.

The dog is described as a fawn-colored bull mastiff, according to the release. An Hispanic middle-aged man grabbed the dog and walked away.

Officials ask anyone with information on the incident to call 608-255-2345 and ask for the animal services officer.
