Pro-choice protestors continue to rally on Capitol Square

MADISON, Wis. — One week after the Supreme Court struck down Roe v Wade, pro-choice protestors continue to make their voices heard.

Organizers said that each day is important to get their message out there and demand change.

“We’re trying to grow a movement by hosting events in the downtown area,” Sasha Saad said. “And by educating people about what’s going on.”

With Independence Day right around the corner, Saad and her fellow protestors say there’s no better time to speak out.

“This is a cause that needs to be fought for,” Jaz Gourd said. “This is independence, this is us getting our rights back.”

The size of the protests has shrunk in the days since the ruling, but Gourd and Saad said the message has stayed the same.
