Prescription drugs stolen at gunpoint in grocery store parking lot

A 33-year-old was robbed at gunpoint by an acquaintance Friday night in the parking lot of a grocery store, according to a release from the Madison Police Department.

The 33-year-old Madison man told police a man he knows along with a stranger got into his car in the parking lot of the east side Woodman’s on Milwaukee Street around 10:10 p.m.

The two men took his cash and prescription drugs, including morphine and oxycodone, police said.

The 33-year-old insisted to police that the robbery was not a drug deal gone bad.
