Police: Woman’s car stolen at gunpoint on west side

A woman was robbed of her car at gunpoint on Madison’s far west side late Friday night, police said.

In a news release, police said the woman had pulled into a parking lot in the 1200 block of McKenna Boulevard around 11:15 p.m. to visit a relative when a man got into the passenger seat of her red Buick Lucerne and ordered her out at gunpoint.

The woman complied and the robber took off north on Gammon Road, police said. The victim’s car was found four hours later in a nearby lot.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
