Police: Woman tried to run over other woman, twice
Woman denies trying to run over victim
MADISON, Wis. — A fistfight escalated to a woman trying to run over another woman early Thursday morning, according to Madison police.
Officers were called to the 6300 block of Hammersley shortly after midnight to a report of a disturbance.
The victim told police Sharkessie J. Anderson, 33, of Madison, got into a car, drove over a curb and tried to run her over. She said she backpedaled in time to be missed, but Anderson backed into the street and came at her over the curb a second time.
Police said Anderson left the scene, but officers caught up with her. She denied trying to run the woman over and said she drove over the curb trying to make a U-turn, according to police.
Anderson was arrested on suspicion of second-degree recklessly endangering safety.
