Police: Woman stuck in snow bank arrested
GRANT COUNTY, Wis. — Julie Michelle Culbert, 42, of Schullsburg, was arrested Saturday in Grant County on her fourth operating while intoxicated charge, according to a news release.
The release said a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper attempted and failed to a stop a vehicle for speeding on U.S. Highway 51 around 6:45 p.m.
The suspect continued driving, eventually pulling into the Oak Park Trailer Park, where her vehicle got stuck in a snow bank, according to the release.
Officials said Culbert was operating the vehicle and told the trooper there was a medical emergency involving a family member in critical condition at a Madison hospital.
The trooper said Culbert was allegedly slurring her words.
According to the release, Culbert admitted to consuming alcohol prior to being stopped.
Officials said Culbert was found to be impaired and was arrested for her fourth OWI charge upon further investigation.
Culbert was also cited for speeding, failing to yield and operating after revocation, the release said.
