Police: Woman stopped attack by yelling
2 men were allegedly beating another man
MADISON, Wis. — Madison police said a woman stopped an attack Saturday night with her yelling.
Police said the 24-year-old woman yelled at two men to stop beating a third in the 400 block of W. Gorham Street just after 7 p.m. Police said her intervention helped to stop the attack.
The victim was a 21-year-old homeless man who told police that he knew one of the suspects. He told police they had been fighting over a woman.
Witnesses told police the victim was knocked to the ground and the two suspects punched and kicked him. The victim suffered cuts and bruises.
The suspects were not immediately located, according to police.
