Police: West Side shooting might have second victim

Police: 8 vehicles had tire slashed overnight

A 27-year-old Madison man showed up at a Janesville hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg that authorities believe was connected to a shooting outside a Madison pool hall early Friday morning, Madison police said.

Police said the man didn’t explain how he got the wound, but West District detectives said that they believe he was likely injured during the shooting in the parking lot of Little Manhattan Billiards on the 6700 block of Odana Road on the city’s West Side.

According to police, officers responded after shots were fired outside the pool hall. When they arrived, they found one victim with a gunshot wound to her leg, and bullet holes in the outside wall of the pool hall.

Police said investigators found numerous shell casings that were between two parked vehicles in the pool hall’s parking lot.

Witness statements indicate one man fired between five and seven shots.

Police said the alleged shooter took off with two other men in a silver Chevy Lumina.

The female victim was treated and released at a local hospital.
