Madison police are investigating after tires and rims were stolen from a West Side car dealership last weekend.

Officers were called to the Don Miller Chrysler Dodge dealership on Odana Road on Sunday night. Workers at the car dealership told police crooks had stolen eight rims and eight tires from two Dodge Challenger vehicles.

Investigators said that believe those involved used spare tires off of four Jeep Wranglers to prop up the tireless, rimless Challengers.

The stolen rims were valued at $6,000 while the stolen tires were estimated to be worth $2,000, they said.
