Police are investigating a break-in and theft of toilet paper in Muscoda this week.

The Muscoda Police Department said Friday that sometime within the last two days, someone broke into the toilet paper dispensers in the shower building at the campground on East River Road.

According to the report, nearly all of the dispensers will need to be replaced.

Damage is estimated to be around $300, officials said.

The police department asked anyone who may have been involved or anyone who may have seen kids carrying around large industrial rolls of toilet paper to call 608-739-3144.

Police said investigators are collecting and reviewing surveillance video and could release images of suspects by Monday.
