Police: Teens involved in fight at downtown bar
Bar employee punched in face
MADISON, Wis. — Two teens were taken into custody after a fight at a downtown bar resulting in injuries to a bar employee, according to a release from Madison police.
Officers were called to Tiki Shack at 124 State St. at 1:59 a.m. Saturday for a report of a disturbance at the bar.
Police said they chased down a 15-year-old boy and Mark D. Sanders, 19, of Madison, on State Street. They said Sanders punched a bar employee in the face a couple times.
The bar employee had a bloody nose, bloody mouth and chipped tooth.
Police said the two got into a dispute with other young men inside the bar. Employees tried to move the teens out of the bar after seeing at least one person throwing punches.
Sanders was arrested on suspicion of substantial battery and resisting. He was cited for underage drinking. The 15-year-old was cited for disorderly conduct and resisting.
