Police: Teen charged in connection with threats made on social media
A Janesville teen is facing charges in connection to posts found on social media concerning a threat made to Craig High School.
Janesville police say they were made aware of the posts on Sunday about threats to shoot up Craig High School.
Working with the school’s administration, police ended up arresting a 14-year-old boy, who is a student at Craig High School.
The teen was charged with unlawful use of computerized systems. He was later released to his mother.
Investigators say the teen admitted to the post, but said it was meant as a joke.
Officers searched the teen’s home, but did not find any weapons.
Police continue to investigate this incident.
