Police: Teen caught breaking into truck
Witness provides description to police
MADISON, Wis. — Information from a witness helped police arrest a teen for breaking into vehicles, according to Madison police.
Officers were called to the 300 block of Garnet Lane at 10:54 p.m. Monday when a resident reported hearing a loud bang outside his home and witnessing a thief inside his neighbor’s pick-up truck. He told police the driver’s side window had been shattered and he gave officers a description of the thief.
Police said they found a suspect walking in the area who dropped a brick when confronted by police. Officers said Brack J. Sago struggled with an officer during the arrest.
Officers said they found a GPS unit, bus passes, a cellphone and coins in Sago’s pocket.
Sago was arrested on suspicion of entry to a locked vehicle, criminal damage to property, theft, resisting arrest, bail jumping, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was also arrested on suspicion of theft in Aug. 9.
