Police taser man during OWI arrest in Reedsburg
REEDSBURG, Wis. — Reedsburg police used a taser on a man Sunday while trying to arrest him after he allegedly crashed into several mailboxes while driving drunk.
Authorities said they found the man’s vehicle stopped on the curb in the 600 block of Granite Avenue shortly after 2:30 a.m.
Police said the driver, 37-year-old Nathan Stieve, resisted arrest while law enforcement tried taking him into custody. Police then used a taser to subdue him and put him in handcuffs.
Stieve was ultimately booked into the Sauk County Jail on tentative charges of fifth offense OWI and two counts of resisting an officer.
