Police: Suspected drunken driver hit squad cars; officers injured

BELOIT, Wis. — Two Beloit police officers were injured when a drunken driver struck their squad cars, according to a release from Beloit police.
Police said the officers were on a traffic stop at Wisconsin Avenue and Chapin Street at 2:20 a.m. Saturday when a vehicle not related to the traffic stop struck the driver’s side of two squad cars.
David F. Dolin, 39, of Beloit, was arrested on suspicion of second-offense operating while intoxicated, this time causing injury.
Two officers were treated and released for injuries from the crash.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation.
