Robber kneed worker, fled on foot with cash
MADISON, Wis. — Police said a sub store employee was attacked and robbed of cash in downtown Madison Saturday morning.
The Madison Police Department said a 27-year-old Cousin’s Subs employee was walking on the 100 block of East Main Street at about 9:30 a.m. when a man grabbed her and kneed her in the stomach.
The attacker stole a bank bag containing Cousin’s Subs’ cash, though police did not indicate how much money was taken.
The robber fled on foot toward the Capitol, according to the report.
Police described the robber as dark-skinned, with some facial hair and an average build. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and light-colored blue jeans.
The Cousin’s employee did not need medical attention, police said.
