Police share surveillance photo of bank robber

A week after a man robbed an east Madison bank, police shared a surveillance photo of the robber and asked for the public’s help.

Madison police are investigating a robbery at Associated Bank on the afternoon of May 5, according to a release.

Police said a man entered the bank at 4402 East Towne Boulevard just before 5:30 p.m. and demanded money.

The man fled in an unknown direction after being given an undisclosed amount of money, officials said. No one was injured and no weapons were seen.

On Tuesday morning, police shared a surveillance image of a man walking into the bank and asked anyone with information on the robbery to call Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 266-6014.

The man is described as white, 6 feet tall and weighing about 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red jacket with a gray hood.
