Police seek man in a.m. gas station robberies
MPD believes same man robbed PDQ, BP Saturday morning
MADISON, Wis. — Madison police said two Saturday morning gas station robberies are related.
Madison police spokeswoman, Lt. Stephanie Bradley Wilson, said police are looking for the same suspect in a gas station robbery at PDQ on West Broadway and at a BP on Atwood Avenue.
A man armed with a small handgun robbed the PDQ at 2402 W. Broadway at about 7 a.m., according to the police. The report stated he left on foot. Police said a K-9 unit was brought to the station to track the man. The K-9 did not locate the robber.
In the second incident, a man waited for customers in the BP gas station at 2801 Atwood Avenue then demanded the clerk give him cash. Police said a weapon was not displayed in the robbery but the man implied he had a gun. The man left on foot.
Police described the suspect as a black man in his 30s, 6 feet 5 inches tall wearing a black stocking cap and dark pants.
No shots were fired in either incident and no one was injured, police said.
