Police seek identity of video store robber from surveillance video

Middleton police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man from surveillance images of a video store robbery last week.

Middleton police said a man robbed the Family Video on Century Avenue Thursday at 9:55 p.m.

On Monday, the department released three images depicting the robber and asked anyone who has information regarding his identity or the incident to call Det. Robert Maier at 608-824-7300 or email rmaier@cityofmiddleton.us.

Police said the robber was described as white, in his 20s and about 6 feet, 1 inch tall with a thin build.

The robber was wearing dark-colored clothing, camouflage winter gloves that can be worn fingerless or as mittens and all-white sneakers, police said.

According to the report, he had a deep voice, which could have been masked by the fact that his hand was over his mouth for the duration of the robbery. The man fled on foot to an unknown location.
