Police searching for east side bank robber

Madison police are searching for a man they believe robbed an Associated Bank on the city’s east side Saturday morning.

Madison Police Lt. Anthony Bitterman said police received a call of an armed robbery at the Associated Bank at 4402 East Towne Blvd. around 11:30 a.m. A man entered the bank, implied he had a gun and demanded money, police said.

The man fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, Bitterman said.

The robber is described as a white man in his 40s around 6 feet tall, police said. He was last seen wearing a black hat, black ski mask, gray sweatshirt with a red hood and light blue pants.

No one was injured in the robbery, police said.
