Police search for suspects connected to two armed robberies Saturday

MADISON, Wis. — Madison police believe two men who robbed a Citgo gas station Saturday afternoon were involved in a robbery at a Madison liquor store Saturday morning.

According to an incident report, officers responded to an armed robbery at the gas station in the 1400 block of Northport Drive shortly after 12 p.m.

Police said one man was armed with handgun and demanded money from the store clerk.

The report said the clerk complied with the demands and both suspects left the store with an unknown amount of cash.

The suspects were seen entering and leaving the gas station in a silver Hyundai.

Police arrived at the gas station and saw the suspects driving away but could not catch up, according to the report.

Officials believe the robbery is related to an armed robbery at Northside Liquor on Saturday morning.

The victims of the robbery did not report any injuries.

The suspect with the small black revolver is described as a 25-to-30-year-old light-skinned black man wearing a cream-colored hooded sweatshirt. The other suspect is described as a 25-to-30-year-old black man wearing a black winter coat with a fur hood.
