MILWAUKEE — Police said that a mother and her two daughters were found dead Sunday after they were reported missing early last Saturday morning.

During a press conference Sunday, officials said they found the bodies of 26-year-old Amarah Banks and her two daughters 4-year-old Cameria Banks and 5-year-old Zaniya in a garage near 47th Street and Burleigh.

According to the Milwaukee Police Department, Arzel Ivery, Amarah’s boyfriend, had already been taken into custody in Memphis, Tennessee.

When detectives with the Milwaukee Police Department went to Memphis to speak with Ivery, he gave detectives information that led them to find the bodies of Amarah and her two daughters.

Police said homicide charges are expected to be filed against Ivery.

The three had gone missing after attending a funeral for Amarah’s 1-year-old son last Friday.

The investigation is ongoing.
