Police release sketch of man who attacked, robbed woman

Middleton police are releasing a sketch of a man who attacked and robbed a woman early in the morning on New Year’s Day.

A 41-year-old Middleton resident was attacked Jan. 1 between 2:45 a.m. and 3:45 a.m. while she was walking in the 2600 block of Branch Street, officials said. The woman was thrown to the ground, kicked in the face and robbed.

The robber is described as being a tall, skinny black man in his 20s or 30s with a light complexion, according to a release. He was wearing a white sweater with blue snowflakes on it, baggy jeans and red high-top sneakers.

Police are hoping anyone who may have seen the man on New Year’s Day or can identify him will call them at 608-824-7300.
