Police: Reedsburg couple arrested for burglary, thefts

A husband and wife were arrested Thursday on suspicion of burglarizing a neighbor’s home and stealing checks from another home.

Chad A. Legner, 39 and Tina M. Legner, 40, were arrested by Reedsburg police Thursday evening after they admitted to their part in the burglary and thefts.

Police said the Legners broke into a neighbor’s home earlier this week and stole guns, checks and electronics and had also stolen checks from another neighbor.

Several stolen items have been recovered and detectives are still investigating to locate more items, according to police.

The Legners are in the Sauk County Jail on charges of armed burglary and numerous counts of theft.
