Police: Pedestrian robbed by armed teens

A 22-year-old Madison man was robbed by two teens while walking on the west side Sunday night.

Madison police said the man was walking in the 1000 block of McKenna Boulevard at about 9 p.m. when two teens approached. He said one of the teens pulled out a handgun. He was robbed of his money and a backpack that contained a laptop computer.

The teens fled northwest running between buildings. An attempt to track the robbers with a K-9 was unsuccessful.

Both robbers are described as black and in their late teens. One of the robbers is described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds with short hair. He was wearing a black jacket, jeans and white tennis shoes. The other robber is described as 6 feet tall with a slender build. He was wearing a black jacket, gray jeans, a neon yellow scarf and black Timberland boots.
