Police: Muddy man in boxers threatens man with knife
Friend tells police man drank a lot of alcohol
MADISON, Wis. — A man wearing only boxer shorts and covered in mud was arrested after a disturbance outside an apartment on the city’s north side Monday night, according to a release from Madison police.
Officers were called to the 2000 block of Northport Drive at 10:20 p.m. by a frightened woman who said a man was outside her apartment making a lot of noise. She told police when she asked the man to quiet down he refused. Her boyfriend went outside to ask the man to leave and said he was threatened with a knife.
The woman said she the man outside an apartment and later heard glass on the storm door break.
Police said she had to use a Taser to bring the man under control.
Vincent J. Toliver, 33, was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct while armed, criminal damage to property and resisting arrest.
