Police: Marquette University police chief arrested in Dane County for 1st offense OWI
MARSHALL, Wis. — The Marquette University police chief was arrested in Marshall for driving while intoxicated, according to a release form the Marshall Police Department.
Paul A. Mascari, 41, of New Berlin, was arrested around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. He is facing charges for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and failure to stop at a stop sign, according to the release.
Mascari was later released to a responsible party. A first offense OWI carries a possible fine of $937.50 and failure to stop at a stop sign carries a possible $175.30 fine. The investigation is ongoing, officials said.
