Police: Man walking in Middleton struck in head during armed robbery

Middleton police say a 40-year-old man was struck in the head by a man with a gun during an armed robbery Monday night.

The incident happened in the 5500 block of Century Avenue around 8:20 p.m. Monday.

According to Middleton police, the man was walking behind the Rolling Hills Condos when he was approached by a man who showed a revolver and asked for the man’s wallet.

Police said the man hit the victim in the head with the revolver and ran away through a parking lot on Valley Ridge Road. Police said the victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries from the incident.

Police are looking for a light-skinned African-American man between 20 and 30 years of age, approximately 6 feet tall, weighing 180 pounds. Police said the man had “braided hair” and was wearing dark-colored pants and a dark jacket with a Chicago Bulls emblem on the front and the word “Chicago” on the back.
