Police: Man shoots BB gun at car, causes it to crash

A man who shot a BB gun at a car caused a vehicle to crash, officials said.

Middleton police officers were dispatched to the 3600 block of Napoli Lane on Friday around 4 p.m. for a report of a weapons violation, according to a release from the Middleton Police Department.

The original report was that a male suspect had shot a vehicle, causing it to crash into a light pole. The vehicle was later recovered a short distance from the scene and two individuals associated with the vehicle were identified and interviewed.

Initial investigations suggest the weapon used was a BB gun, officials said.

The suspect in the incident was described as a black man with dreadlocks, wearing a light-colored sweater, black pants and black shoes. There is no threat to the public at this time, officials said.
