Police: Man robbed in east side parking lot

Madison police are investigating an armed robbery in an east side parking lot early Wednesday morning.

The incident happened in the 1600 block of Fordem Avenue just after 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

According to police, two men were going to fight in the parking lot when another man grabbed a wallet out of the victim’s pocket and pulled money out of it.

Police said before the victim could get it back, another person lifted his shirt to show a semi-automatic handgun in his waistband.

The men punched the victim a few times before leaving in an older black Toyota, according to police.

Police are looking for three men between 18 and 20 years of age in connection with the armed robbery.
