Man injured, glasses smashed in attack

A man was robbed after he was given a ride in a vehicle with two people early Saturday morning, according to a release.

Madison police said a 47-year-old man was walking on Madison’s east side at about 4:45 a.m. when he asked for a ride downtown.

Two people in a vehicle agreed to give him a ride but said they had to make a stop first, according to the report. The 47-year-old was driven to the 1700 block of Blossom Lane where the male in the vehicle displayed a black revolver.

Police said the man’s wallet was taken and the armed pair drove away in an older SUV.

The people in the vehicle were described as a white female, 5 feet 5 inches tall with blond hair and a black male who was 5 feet 6 inches tall. Approximate ages for the suspects was not included.
