Incident happened in Meadowood neighborhood
MADISON, Wis. — A resident on the city’s west side said he was threatened by a man who appeared to have a handgun tucked into his pants.
The victim, a 29-year-old Madison man, said he was walking in the 5800 block of Russett Road in the Meadowood neighborhood about 10:45 p.m. Friday when he encountered a group of people, including a man who accused him of following a woman, according to a Madison Police Department incident report.
The 29-year-old told the man he was just walking and not following anyone, police said.
The victim said the man lifted up his shirt, exposing what appeared to be a gun, and made statements about shooting him, according to the police report.
The victim walked quickly away, returned home and called 911, police said.
Police said the man who made the threats was described as a black man, about 19-24 years old, standing 6 feet 1 inch tall with a medium build and 3-inch long deadlocks. The man was wearing a white T-shirt.
