Man shot in leg during robbery, police say

An east side gas station was robbed late Sunday night, and Madison police are looking for a man who may be involved.

The incident happened at the Mobil gas station in the 2600 block of Shopko Drive just after 11 p.m. Sunday.

According to police, the man entered the store while the store was empty and told the clerk to give him money from the cash register. Police said the man doesn’t show a weapon, but implies he has one with him.

Police said the man took money from the store before leaving the area in a vehicle. Police said the man involved is described as a white man in his late 20s, 5 foot 8 to 5 foot 10 inches tall, between 150 and 175 pounds, last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, a dark scarf and light gray pants.
